Hi, I’m Shadi Heidarifar. I also go by Sophie. I’m an Assistant Professor and a founding faculty member at Roseman University College of Medicine in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am also the Book Review Editor of the International Journal of Feminist Approaches to Bioethics and an Associate Editor of Hypatia: A Journal of Feminist Philosophy.

I received my PhD in Philosophy from the University of Florida in 2024. Before that, I studied philosophy as a graduate student at the University of Western Ontario and as an undergraduate at the University of Tehran.

I work on a cluster of issues in bioethics, AI/data ethics, neuroethics, and philosophy of medicine.
